WATCH: Arsene Wenger apologises for altercation with fourth official Anthony Taylor

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has apologised to the officials after his red card in their 2-1 Premier League win over Burnley.

He was sent off after a confrontation with fourth official Anthony Taylor in stoppage time, where both sides were given penalties.

"I just should have shut up and I apologise for not having done it," he said. "But it was nothing malicious, but I should have kept my control even if it was in a hectic time."

Wenger appeared to have pushed fourth official Anthony Taylor when he was sent to the tunnel following Burnley's equaliser.

Andre Gray looked to have earned a point for the visitors, but Alexis Sanchez won the contest for Arsenal with virtually the last kick of the game - an 98th minute penalty.

Arsenal saw the game out to pick up back to back victories and move to second in the league behind Chelsea. They leapfrog local rivals Tottenham, who drew 2-2 with Manchester City on Saturday evening.
