WATCH: Senegal goalkeeper hilariously injures himself time-wasting

Goalkeepers in the Africa Cup of Nations can be an eccentric bunch.

From poor positioning, to blatant time-wasting, the shot-stoppers have earned a reputation in the tournament. On Tuesday night, Senegal goalkeeper Khadim N'Diaye took it to a new level.

Senegal won their opening two matches of the tournament, meaning the team was broadly changed for their final Group B match against Algeria. A draw was good enough for Senegal to top the group, and with two minutes left of normal time, they were drawing 2-2 with Algeria.

N'Diaye, who is Senegal's reserve goalkeeper somehow kicked his own calf when taking a kick-out. Senegalese staff entered the field to treat the goalkeeper, and he somehow was fit to return to action a minute later.

The 32-year-old was able to complete the match, and Senegal booked their place in the quarter-finals. They play Cameroon in Franceville on Saturday. Hopefully N'Diaye will be able to take his place on the bench.
