In many ways, we learned more than we intended to discover about Tino Asprilla's post-football exploits.
But none of it detracts from his talents, which he showed in flashes during a career which took him from Colombian domestic football to a world class Parma side in the 1990s and then onto cult hero status at Newcastle United.
At one time - specifically 1993 - the eccentric former Colombia forward was even ranked sixth best player in the world by FIFA.
