The former Liverpool winger hit the back of the net in just the third minute during a friendly with Roma in Melbourne in Australia.
But as composed a finish as that was, there were far more impressive goals scored in the 2-2 draw and the penalty shootout.
Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic scored this absolute belter for Roma:

And during the penalty shootout, which City won 5-4 on penalties, their keeper Joe Hart scored a centre-forward's penalty and seemed quite pleased with himself:
