WATCH | Sunday Paper Review | Liverpool's transfer flops to Klopp's evolution

Kieran Cunningham and Mick Foley joined the Sunday Paper Review to discus the evolution of Liverpool FC's transfer policy.

The Merseyside club have had a checkered history in the transfer market, and Mick Foley believes the scousers have their best team in ever 25 years.

"I think it's the best Liverpool starting XI in 25 years,' said Foley.

The conversation was sparked from a Liverpool transfer dealing section in today's Irish Independent.

The piece details Liverpool's market dealing from 1985 through to Jurgen Klopp's current side, and a ten manager spell.

Foley compared their activity to a 'wall of shame', and questioned how the club managed to find some of their purchases.

"It brings back 25 years of how is he there; where did they find him? - It's the ultimate wall of shame. The lads that were there"

Kieran Cunningham believes Liverpool's current manager has off-loaded some below-par players since he took over at the helm, two years ago.

"I think he's off-loaded 24 players over the last two years, he's gotten rid of a hell of a lot of duds as well"

Foley says Klopp has changed their dealings to a quality over quantity policy.

"This is the first time since that time (1980s) are paying top dollar for top, top players."
