Sweden are European U21 championships after beating Portugal 4-3 on penalties in tonight's final.

Reported Premier League transfer target - specifically rumoured to be interesting Arsenal - William Carvalho missed Portugal's crucial kick in the shootout after the game had finished goalless, as the Swedes won the tournament for the first time in their history.

Portugal went into the decider as favourites, having thrashed Germany 5-0 in the semi-final but failed to score in the 90 minutes or extra-time.
