WATCH: The FA Cup may have already had its Goal of the Season

For many fans the FA Cup does not come into the consciousness until January, when the Premier League and Championship sides enter in the Third Round.

There has already been six rounds of qualifying for the competition, with the First Round not even beginning until next month.

Already this season 612 games have been played, not including replays. To put that into context, 380 games are played in a full Premier League season!!

Saturday afternoon, saw the final games of the Fourth Qualifying Round be played, and the tournament may have already seen its best goal.

Halifax Town reached the First Round, after coming through three rounds of qualifying. Their First Round spot was secured when Jake Hibbs scored from his own half in added time, as Harrogate Town looked for an equaliser.

The 2-0 win sent Halifax through to the First Round for the fifth time in six years. The team have never reached the Second Round, with losses to the likes of Charlton Athletic and Bradford City.

Goals like Hibbs' could help the team make that leap.
