One of the more surprising signings of the summer is expected to be completed today when Manchester United sign Monaco striker Anthony Martial.
Up until reports leaked on Sunday night that Martial was a target for Louis van Gaal, many Manchester United fans had never heard of the teenager and it looks like United's captain Wayne Rooney may have felt the same.
The Manchester Evening News have today reported that Morgan Schneidlerin had to tell Rooney about the striker on the way back from Swansea after their 2-1 loss on Sunday.
"On the plane, Wayne Rooney came to speak to me and asked me who Martial was, because the English press had started to speak. I told him he's a great player with great potential, who has played some good matches with Monaco last season and the the beginning of this. I told him he is technical and powerful. A little like Therry Henry, even if it's the press who are making that comparison."
