ITV's live rights of the tournament ended last season. The British broadcaster now only shows a highlights programme on Wednesday nights after all 16 games.
Last night, the Republic of Ireland assistant manager was in studio and he questioned the off-field activities of Manchester United's captain Wayne Rooney. His side had a disappointing 0-0 draw with PSV Eindhoven.
He was particularly unimpressed with Rooney's appearance on WWE Raw. "I saw him last week at some wrestling, slapping a wrestler. I'm thinking 'Why is he getting involved in all that nonsense?' There's no benefit to him. I'd have a look at that side of it".
The former Manchester United captain added that he thinks Rooney has not been looking after himself in the best possible way. "I wouldn't begrudge a player going out and enjoying himself. But if you're not at it yourself, you've got to have a look and he's got to lead by example. He didn't do that tonight. He doesn't look sharp. He looks off.
Mentally, he doesn't look really sharp. Physically, he doesn't look in great shape. He just needs to have a look at himself," he added.
