Will opposition teams start targeting Cazorla more often?

One of the players who struggled in yesterday's North London derby draw was Arsenal's deep-lying playmaker Santi Cazorla, who was withdrawn midway through due to illness.

Whether that affected his form is possible, but he certainly was caught on the ball by Tottenham's high-pressing midfield on a number of occasions in the first half and there is a question that teams could start looking to shut him down as ex-Chelsea and Everton midfielder Pat Nevin mused about on Off The Ball.

"In the end teams aren't stupid. Coaches aren't stupid. If you have a weakness, they will find out what it is. Have a look at Arsenal, where's your weakness? Well, Cazorla he's a strength, but does somebody [consider] you a weakness as well because he couldn't tackle a fish supper. So you're going to make sure you put him under pressure. You run him the other direction. Exactly the same has happened to Cesc Fabregas at Chelsea."

Meanwhile, Tottenham managed to maintain a high energy system in three games in a week, culminating in an impressive showing and Pat spoke about whether Spurs can maintain that form throughout the rest of the season.

"At the moment, Tottenham aren't having that sort of problem but it will come at some point in the season and it will absolutely and utterly come if you stay in the Europa League, which it looks like they have a fair chance of doing.
