There was plenty of GAA club action to speak of across both codes on Sunday afternoon around the country, with a familiar winner in the Galway football scene.

Reigning All-Ireland club champions Corofin made it seven Galway senior football titles in a row this afternoon with a 0-11 to 0-8 win over Tuam Stars in their replay.

2016 All-Ireland winners Ballyboden St Endas dashed Thomas Davis' hopes in the Dublin senior football final in Parnell Park - beating the Tallaght side on a 0-15 to 0-9 scoreline.

There was Ulster senior football quarter-final action too this afternoon.

Naomh Conaill eventually won the Donegal title after a second replay win over Gaoth Dobhair, and tiredness wasn't an issue for them today.

The Glenties outfit beat Cavan champions Castlerahan by 1-11 to 0-11 at Kingspan Breffni Park.

Kilcoo of Down beat Derry champions Magherafelt at Páirc Esler in Newry by five points - 1-11 to 0-9.

And there were penalties in Enniskillen - Derrygonnelly Harps from Fermanagh ended all-square with the Tyrone champions Trillick at Brewster Park - Derrygonnelly 1-17 Trillick 3-11.

Derrygonnelly progressed 6-5 on spot-kicks and will meet Kilcoo in the last four.

Monaghan champions Clontibret are already into the last four after their one-point win over Crossmaglen Rangers last night in Armagh.

Tony McEntee's side will now play Naomh Conaill in their semi-final in two weeks' time.

It was Connacht football quarter-final day today too, with two games underway at 2pm.

Eamonn O'Hara's Tourlestrane of Sligo went down heavily to Roscommon winners Padraig Pearses in Markievicz Park. It finished Tourlestrane 0-6 Padraig Pearses 3-17.

And Ballintubber of Mayo beat the Leitrim kingpins Glencar-Manorhamilton 1-11 to 0-9.

Ballintubber will now play Corofin in the last-four in the western province.

Dr Crokes' hopes of a fourth Kerry senior football title remain alive after today's 1-14 to 1-8 win over South Kerry. Their replay win sets up a county final meeting with East Kerry next Sunday.

HURLING

Borris-Ileigh ended a 33-year wait for Tipperary senior hurling honours, with a 1-15 to 1-12 win against Kiladangan in Thurles,

18-year-old James Devaney starred, scoring 1-4 for the winners.

There was a big surprise in the quarter-finals of the Leinster senior club hurling championship today.

Dublin champions Cuala, who won the All-Ireland in both 2016 and 2017, were beaten by Carlow side St Mullins at Netwatch Cullen Park - St Mullins 2-13 Cuala 0-18.

There was no such surprise in Mullingar - Henry Shefflin's All-Ireland champions Ballyhale Shamrocks were 3-21 to 2-15 winners over Clonkill.

And Laois winners Rathdowney-Errill beat St Rynagh's of Offaly at O'Moore Park in Portlaoise - 4-16 to 0-10.

There was one game in the Munster club senior hurling quarter-finals today.

Waterford's Ballygunner were impressive 12-point victors over Clare's Sixmilebridge in the Banner County today. They won out 1-21 to 0-12 in front of a crowd of almost 2000.
