Will Klopp's favoured style be sustainable in the Premier League?

By Saturday evening, we will get the first glimpse of what a Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp will look like.

Ahead of that match at Tottenham, we were joined by editor-in-chief and co-host of the Yellow Wall Borussia Dortmund podcast Stefan Buczko on Off The Ball to get a better idea of what to expect from the German's tenure.

Buczko expects Klopp's high pressing approaching to be transported to Liverpool but expects it will take time for it to be fully implemented.

"He won't have the quickest impact. The thing about his playing style is he usually takes a lot of time to get it into a team, but I think in a couple of months we will really see that players will take a lot of running and it's going to be, over the course of the whole season, very interesting how sustainable it is in the Premier League because they have a lot more games. They have no winter break for example and at Dortmund they ran out of steam more often than not in the season due to their high pressing game and I don't know how effective that will be at Liverpool in the long run because it's exhausting after all."

As for players from Dortmund that Klopp could be tempted in, Buczko spoke of the case of defensive midfielder Sven Bender, who is "obsolete" at the Bundesliga club at present due to his deficiencies when it comes to build-up play under new Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel.
