Things seem to be getting ugly at Bielsa's Marseille

Earlier this season, Marseille were in flying form under their Argentine manager Marcelo Bielsa.

But lately, they seem to have gone off the boil, sinking back to third in the table behind Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain - although the Ligue 1 club are just four points off the top.

And rumour has it that Bielsa will be on his way out of the club at the end of this season.

"It's getting a little bit ugly at Marseille," said Off The Ball's European football reviewer Ben Lyttleton tonight.

"They lost terribly on Friday and I did warn earlier on in the season that I wasn't sure that the energy was sustainable. Bielsa was not rotating his squad at all and they just look like they're running out of steam."

Marseille's owner wants Bielsa to stay, but it seems ever more likely that there will be a rupture with links to Inter Milan, where Roberto Mancini is being tipped for the PSG job.

Ben also gave us an insight into Wolfsburg's Dutch striker Bas Dost, who has 14 goals in nine games so far in 2015, and whether he is in a flash and a pan or the real deal, before turning his attention to the La Liga title race and Borussia Dortmund's resurgence.
