Love's young dream Kevin Kilbane joined us on Off The Ball to discuss his engagement to Dancing on Ice partner Brianne Delcourt.
Kilbane proposed to Brianne over the weekend, via a musical number - Jim McCann's 'Grace'.
You can hear his surprisingly decent singing voice here.
Joining Joe Molloy and Nathan Murphy, Kilbane spoke about his nerves before popping the question.
"I had spoken to the restaurant to play the song, to play the chorus, the first verse and turn it down - that's where I would come in," says Kilbane.
"I hid myself behind a pillar [as Brianne and her friend talk] - ten or fifteen minutes later, they are still chatting!
"The nerves were building because it was continuing - I was gone from my seat for about twenty minutes.
"I had teed up the restaurant as to what I was going to do [...] I was thinking 'would you just move so I can get this done!'
Kilbane talked about the corridor of uncertainty he found himself in.
"She left me hanging. Every second seemed like a minute, so it seemed like about fifteen minutes!
"She did give me a bit of a pause there."
But the result was the best one for Kev, and he and Brianne have the best wishes of all at Off The Ball.
Kevin Kilbane engaged
Kevin Kilbane's travails through the weeks he was a contestant on Dancing on Ice have been covered extensively by Off The Ball.
After a worrying debut on the ice, we charted Kevin Kilbane's steady progress as he managed to win a skate-off with Brianne to make it as far as week three.
Once there, the former Irish international kicked on, performing to The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go?"
The happy couple's reign on the show reached its conclusion last weekend.
